The Counter makes a good burger as well and they have a location not too far from your hotel on Wilshire Blvd. Unami Burger has a location about a mile or two away from your hotel. Fat Burger and In-n-Out are some typical LA fast food burger type places - Fat Burger has a location not too far from where you are, In-n-Out will require driving several miles as there are none in the area of that hotel. I always recomend The Habit but they've only got a few locations and none near where you are staying, but they do again have a location not too far from LAX. In any case, generally Mexican restaurants in LA can be divided up into two groups - Americanized Mexican food and authentic Mexican food - I tend to prefer the Americanized kind so I'm not a great resource for the really authentic stuff.įor burgers, there's a lot going on in LA right now. I always liked Paco's Tacos which has a couple of locations near LAX, so that may be something you could try before or after your flights to/from LA. I'm not that familiar with Mexican restaurants in that area - I know that Garden's of Taxco is not too far away and used to be recommended a lot by a person who used to be a regular contributor to this forum. Some places that I like in that immediate area would include Joan's on 3rd, Fogo de Chao (expensive but a beef lover's dream, its a Brazilian style steak house), Ago Restaurant (great Italian food), Fig & Olive (Mediterenean), Koi (Japanese / sea food), STK (American steakhouse). Hi Michloh - the Garden Cottage is in the midst of one of the best restaurant areas in Los Angeles, but it will depend on your budget.
